Marjerrie Masicat is a multi-hyphenate creative based in Oakland, CA. She is currently on sabbatical rekindling her creative spirit through writing, pottery, and being with nature.
Previously, Marjerrie has worked with YR Media, Chapter 510, Mills College, and Inneract Project to provide underrepresented students of color with a meaningful design education while propelling each organization’s unique brand. Aside from designing, she loves reading graphic novels, tending to her plants, and, more recently, bird-watching all over the Bay Area. Outside of her home office, you can often find her soaking in the sun by the lake or browsing books at her local library.

YR Media
2019 – 2023
As the Brand and Visual Design Manager at YR Media, I collaborated with internal and external partners to produce impactful designs for various projects. I also worked closely with the Creative Chief Officer to create visual content and evolve the YR Media brand. I additionally managed the Graphic Design Program Manager to ensure our interns' skills aligned with industry standards and the organization's production needs. I maintained an asset library of images and materials and reviewed other designers' creative assets for brand consistency and proper guideline implementation.
Chapter 510 & The Dept. of Make Believe
2017 – 2018
At Chapter 510 & The Dept. of Make Believe, I had the opportunity to work closely with organization founders to solidify their brand identity and develop a comprehensive brand system. I produced a wide range of marketing collateral, including print, product, and digital materials, and created a book template that streamlined the organization's publishing process. Additionally, I had the pleasure of producing and designing numerous children's books, and provided support for all in-house youth writing programs.
Common Sense Media

At Common Sense Media, I collaborated with the design team within the larger marketing team. My role was to create educational resources for parents and educators, both in print and digital formats. I also designed marketing collateral for the organization.
